Alton Chun
Chief Operating Officer at Upland Capital and Harbor View Hotel

Alton Chun is the Chief Operating Officer at Upland Capital and Harbor View Hotel, where he applies over two decades of leadership in operational excellence. His career is marked by leadership roles at some of the Northeast's most prestigious luxury properties, including New York's Park Hyatt and Mandarin Oriental, as well as the Wequassett Resort on Cape Cod.

Deeply invested in the Cape and Islands community, Alton serves on the Board of Directors for the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce, Outer Cape Health Services, and Cape Cod Young Professionals. He also lends his expertise to the global luxury market as a member of the Forbes Travel Guide’s Standards Advisory Committee.

Drawn to the region's beauty and rich history, Alton and his wife, Kristen, chose the Cape and Islands as the ideal place to raise their four children. He is a passionate advocate for the area's future, believing that supporting and developing its professional community is imperative to long-term success.

Kate Fox
Executive Director Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism

Kate Fox is the executive director at the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism in the Healey-Driscoll Administration. A seasoned tourism professional with 25 years of experience, Kate was previously the executive director of Destination Salem, the city’s Office of Tourism & Cultural Affairs, where she oversaw year-round destination marketing efforts for nearly two decades.  Fox spent five years as the Director of Cultural Heritage Tourism for the Essex National Heritage Area, developing collaborative programs including Trails & Sails. Kate also served as the President of the North of Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors, the Salem Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and Salem Main Streets Steering Committee. Fox holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Religious Studies from William Smith College and is a North Shore LEADS Fellow. She lives in Beverly with her husband Matt and is a proud mom to grown sons George and Nicholas.

Kate Hathaway Weeks
Director of Marketing Yankee Magazine

Kate Hathaway Weeks is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with a rich background in TV and print media. She has served as the Director of Brand Marketing for Yankee, where she contributed to the production of the national public television series “Weekends with Yankee.” Kate was named a Top Women in Media by Folio in 2019 for her work on “Weekends with Yankee.” Prior to her time at Yankee, Kate was in house at GBH for 10 years working on a variety of primetime and educational programming including Antiques Roadshow, This Old House, Victory Garden and children’s series such as Arthur.

Kate is actively involved in educational and cultural organizations, holding leadership positions such as advisory board member of the Brookline Education Foundation and the Artbarn Community Theater. She lives in the Boston area with her husband and two so

Matthew Moor
GM of Winnetu Oceanside Resort & Martha’s Vineyard Lodging Association Board Member

Matthew Moore, is currently the General Manager & Beekeeper for the Winnetu Oceanside Resort in Edgartown. He again guided the property to a AAA 4 Diamond rating (a first in the resort’s 19-year history). Property has been consistently recognized by Travel & Leisure Magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, Martha’s Vineyard Magazine, and Boston Magazine as among the best properties on Martha’s Vineyard, in Massachusetts and/or in New England. Winnetu is currently rated #1 by TripAdvisor, US News and World Reports and Cape Cod Life Magazine. In 2024, they were honored for being the #1 Hotel in New England, #3 Hotel in the USA and remarkably the #16 Best Hotel in the World by Travel + Leisure Magazine.

In addition to the Hotel, Moore also serves on the board of directors for the MV Lodging Association, The Edgartown Board of Trade and NEIRA (New England Inns and Resorts).

Matt is also proud of his civil service and giving back to his community, serving as a 4-time elected official in Holbrook, MA – as a member of on the Select Board, which he served 3 of those years as Chair. He was also an active member on the Permanent School Building Committee for 10 years – where they designed, built and completed a $103m school project on time and $8m under budget. The project was the first of its kind: pre-k to 12th grade concept. In his spare time, he was also the founder and Executive Director of Holbrook Bulldog Basketball Association and coached 5 boys youth basketball teams (4-8 grades).

He currently lives in Edgartown with his wife Jeanne and their three kids where he is an Edgartown Town Meeting Member.

Sean Driscoll
Communications Director, Steamship Authority

Sean F. Driscoll is the communications director at the Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority. The agency, a public instrumentality of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, provides year-round ferry service to the islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Before coming to the Steamship Authority in 2018, Sean was a reporter for nearly 20 years, most recently at the Cape Cod Times in Hyannis, Massachusetts. He has also worked as a freelancer, at the Rockford (Illinois) Register-Star, and the Chronicle-Tribune in Marion, Indiana. He is a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington.

Cathy Mayone Headshot

Cathy Mayone
Managing Director, Martha’s Vineyard Museum

Cathy Mayone joined Martha's Vineyard Museum as Managing Director in September 2024,
where she is dedicated to overseeing the Museum’s marketing and business operations, as well
as collaborations and partnerships with local Vineyard organizations. Cathy led the Museum’s
Jaws 50 th anniversary promotions and events. Previously, Cathy spent 34 years working in the
consulting, marketing and advertising client service industries with Publicis Groupe, McCann
Worldgroup, and Accenture. Cathy’s husband Mike, who witnessed the filming of Jaws in 1974,
introduced Cathy to the Island in 1991, and they officially washed ashore as year-round
residents in 2020. They, along with their English Bulldog Nala, routinely swim, bike and run from
sharks as part of the Island’s running and cycling clubs.

Patrick Roden-Reynolds
Public Health Biologist, Inter-Island Public Health Excellence Collaboration; Director, Martha’s Vineyard Tick Program

Patrick Roden-Reynolds is Public Health Biologist for the Inter-Island Public Health Excellence Collaboration and Director of the Martha’s Vineyard Tick Program. His work focuses on education and surveillance of vector-borne diseases and their vector populations.

Adam Turner,
Executive Director of the Martha's Vineyard Commission

Adam Turner is the Executive Director of the Marthas Vineyard Commission. He has been with the MVC since 2016. The Commission is responsible for managing the unique natural, historical, ecological, scientific, cultural, and other values of Marthas Vineyard. Prior to working at the MVC, Turner was a consultant in private planning and economic development practice working with many public sector clients.
