Flying to Martha’s Vineyard

Cape-Air

The are many options when it comes to flying to Martha’s Vineyard. We have one main airport in West Tisbury, conveniently located in the middle of the Island. Our airport code is MVY.

Flying into Martha’s Vineyard Airport is a charming entry to our beautiful Island. Seeing Martha’s Vineyard from the sky is always a magical experience. The airport terminal reflects the traditional Cape Cod style, with cedar shingles and a welcoming ambiance.

The Airport offers ample onward transportation so no need to worry about how to get to your final destination. Public transport via the VTA bus is a breeze, or take a taxi or private car, or get a rental car right from the terminal.

CapeAir offers daily, year-round flights from Boston, and additional seasonal service from New Bedford, Hyannis and Nantucket in Massachusetts, New York’s ZYP and Westchester, New York.

Tradewind provides seasonal scheduled flights to Martha’s Vineyard from Westchester and Teterboro and provides private charter flights year-round from anywhere in the Northeast.

Additionally, there are other Private Air Charters Companies that offer seasonal and year-round options

JetBlue provides seasonal flights to Martha’s Vineyard direct from Boston’s Logan Airport and New York’s JFK Airport.

Delta provides seasonal flight service direct from New York’s LaGuardia airport to Martha’s Vineyard on select days of the week between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

American Airlines provides seasonal service from Washington, DC.

Coming in autumn, winter or spring? No problem! Fly into Boston and use either Cape Air or a Private Air Charter to fly directly to the Vineyard. Alternately, book your onward travel aboard  Peter Pan Bus to the Steamship Authority ferry terminal in Woods Hole on Cape Cod and take the ferry over.

There is also a secondary, smaller and scenic grass airfield in Katama. This airport, owned by the Town of Edgartown, has three runways, averages 22 takeoffs and landings per day, and has approximately four aircraft based on its field.
