Weekly Live Music Series
Mondays
Musical Mondays at Featherstone is a ticketed outdoor concert series held on Monday evenings at Featherstone Center for the Arts, with start times varying by sunset and a rotating lineup of local performers. Guests sit on the lawn under the trees and are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and picnic food.
Tuesdays
Sounds Like Summer at Edgartown Library is a free outdoor concert series held on the library lawn from 6:30 to 7:30 PM, featuring a different family-friendly band each week.
MVYRADIO Summer Concert Series at Winnetu is a free unplugged music series held on the patio at Winnetu Oceanside Resort in Katama at 6 PM, open to the public and presented by MVYRADIO.
Dock Dance at Memorial Wharf is a free, all-ages community dance held every Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in Edgartown.
Wednesdays
Community Sing at the MVCMA Tabernacle is a free, family-friendly singalong held Wednesday nights at 7:30 PM under the lights of the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs.
The Sound of the Vineyard at Grange Hall is a free porch concert series held in West Tisbury from 5 to 7 PM, featuring live local music, food, and a family-friendly atmosphere.
Global Rhythms at the Martha’s Vineyard Museum is a ticketed multicultural concert series held from 5:30 to 7 PM in the museum’s Bodman Courtyard, highlighting artists from around the world in partnership with MVYRADIO.
Thursdays
Music in the Square at Eisenhauer Gallery is a free outdoor music series held Thursday evenings from 6 to 8 PM in the courtyard beside Eisenhauer Gallery in Edgartown, with weekly rotating performers from June 19 through late August.
Fridays
Featherstone Fridays with Johnny Hoy is a ticketed outdoor concert series held at Featherstone Center for the Arts, featuring Johnny Hoy & the Bluefish and occasional guest acts. Guests are invited to bring low chairs, blankets, and picnic food.
Friday Summer Concert Series at the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs is a free live music series held Friday nights at 6 PM, running weekly through August 29.
First Friday Vineyard Haven returns on August 1 and September 5, from 5 PM to 11 PM. This free community event fills Owen Park with art, vendors, food, and live music, featuring monthly rotating lineups of local performers.
Sundays
Sunday Concerts at Ocean Park is a free outdoor concert series held at the Ocean Park gazebo in Oak Bluffs at 5:30 PM, featuring a range of local musicians.
The Vineyard Haven Band performs free community concerts on Sunday evenings at 7:30 PM, rotating between the gazebo at Ocean Park in Oak Bluffs and Owen Park in Vineyard Haven. In 2025, performances will be held at Owen Park on July 20, August 3, and August 17, and at Ocean Park on July 27, August 10, August 22 (Fireworks Night), and August 24.
One-Time Music Events – Summer 2025
Built on Stilts Festival is a free live dance and music festival held at Union Chapel in Oak Bluffs on August 7–9 and August 16–18, showcasing local and visiting performers in a community-centered setting.
Grand Illumination Night is a free Oak Bluffs tradition taking place on August 20 at the MVCMA Tabernacle, featuring live performances by Vineyard Sound, the Vineyard Haven Band, and others, followed by lantern lighting.
Oak Bluffs Fireworks will take place on August 22 at Ocean Park, with live music leading up to the display including a performance by the Vineyard Haven Band at 7:30 PM.
MV Soundfest is a ticketed one-day outdoor music festival held behind The Cove in Vineyard Haven on August 31, featuring a full lineup of local and regional artists.
Restaurant & Nightlife Picks by Town
Oak Bluffs
- The Ritz offers nightly live music, DJs, Brazilian nights, and karaoke year-round.
- Offshore Ale often has one or two acoustic or folk sets per week in a cozy pub setting.
- Nomans hosts live music nearly every afternoon and night in a large, outdoor space.
Edgartown
- Bad Martha Brewery hosts laid-back daytime performances on their patio, especially Saturdays and Sundays.
- Town Bar & Grill MV features regular live music events, including patio sets, blues nights, and acoustic shows alongside bar specials.
Vineyard Haven
- The Black Dog Tavern also occasionally features live performances on the porch, and Black Dog Bakery Cafe features live music often as well.
- S&S Kitchenette offers live music on Monday nights alongside dinner service.
