The Martha’s Vineyard Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 Summer Guide is your insider scoop on what’s fresh, exciting, and worth checking out this season. We’re spotlighting new members, upcoming events, and standout summer offerings to help you plan your best Vineyard days. 

Arts & Culture

  • Tashmoo Spring Building – A classic venue for art shows and events, now offering private bookings with Memorial Day open house. 
  • Vineyard Preservation Trust – Launching historic walking tours in Edgartown and showcasing Anne Robb’s landmark miniatures at The Carnegie this season 
  • Vineyard Artisan Festivals – A longtime tradition celebrating 30 years with festivals, will be popping up at Union Chapel this summer while Grange Hall undergoes renovations after August 

Food & Drink

  • Black Joy Kitchen (OB) – Located across from Tony’s in OB, this African Diaspora dining experience will offer a variety of options including family meals. Full opening May 2025.
  • Cozy Corner Cafe – Continuing to host Chamber Chats on Tuesdays with rotating speakers and community conversations
  • First Light Café (VH) – Inside MV Museum, this cafe with a stunning view is now managed by Gina Stanley (Art Cliff). Hosting casual Sunday brunch with live music. 
  • Lori Edmonds Homestyle Chef, LLC – Now working out of a new commercial kitchen with expanded catering services
  • Michael’s (OB) – Replacing Linda Jean’s with a new concept by the Santoro Group: breakfast/brunch and Asian seafood for dinner. Opening date TBD.
  • Revel Galley + Provisions – Last summer they debuted a mobile pizza pop-up at events across the island this summer, with a newly expanded storefront in Vineyard Haven
  • The Maker Pasta Shop and Cafe (VH) – Farm-to-table and homemade pasta in former Little House Café, opening May 22, 2025. 
  • The Martha’s Vineyard Cookbook by Julia Blanter – Pick up a copy o the newly released March 11 with 100+ recipes from local chefs, farmers, and artisans

Shopping & Local Goods

  • 51 Art Gallery / Shoppe with the Red Door (VH) – Relocated to 4 Union Street
  • Chicken Alley Thrift Shop (VH) – Reopened with a fresh renovation and expanded retail space
  • Coastal Supply Co (VH) – Moved to a larger space at 65 Main Street, former Leslie’s Pharmacy 
  • Conrado (VH) – Expanded to two locations: clothing at 2 Union Street and gifts/home goods in the Old Stone Bank (75 Main Street). 
  • MVY Chamber Marketplace – We’ll debut a new e-commerce platform for members to sell local goods and gift cards  
  • Oso (OB) – New coastal clothing boutique by the owner of Basics, replacing Laughing Bear on Circuit Ave 
  • Stefanie Wolf Designs – Launched a new charm bar with custom jewelry designs, doing permanent jewelry pop-ups  
  • The Lazy Frog (OB) – Celebrating 20 years with giveaways and new Marvin toy debut Memorial Day weekend 

Classes, Fitness & Outdoor Adventures

  • Airport Fitness – Offering a tennis and pickleball summer special and new kids basketball instruction
  • Misty Meadows – Summer offerings include pony rides, group equine therapy, barn buddies, and herd meet & greets
  • Talita Destefani Studio – Relocated salon space within Vineyard Haven to a modern, new location
  • Vineyard Vinyasa – Moved to a larger studio in Nevin Square, Edgartown 

Events & Experiences

  • Jaws 50th Anniversary – An island-wide celebration taking place June 19–23 events include screenings, cast reunions and photo ops around the island
    • FREE Screening – Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story
      Friday, June 20 · 4:30–6:00 PM at Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center
      National Geographic and Amblin Documentaries present a behind-the-scenes look at the novel, Spielberg’s film, and our enduring fascination with sharks. Hosted in partnership with the Chamber and Circuit Arts.

    • JAWS: The After Party
      Friday, June 20 · 6:30 PM at Harbor View Hotel – Roxy Pool Bar & Great Lawn
      Join fans, filmmakers, and industry guests for a shark-themed celebration with signature cocktails, swag, photo ops, and a special performance by the Aqualillies. Hosted by the Chamber, Tickets Available.
    • Experience MV Tours – Offering a new Jaws-themed set-jetting tour 
    • Vineyard Gazette – Released a commemorative Jaws 50th magazine with rare behind-the-scenes photos
