Martha’s Vineyard is starting off the Summer 2021 season with lots of new restaurants and food-focused services opening up all over the Island. Ranging from breakfast to fresh seafood to southern comfort food, this summer is sure to be exciting with all these options!
Chefs, bakers, and makers have come together, pivoted to their finest, and are now offering culinary experiences unlike anything we have ever seen on Martha’s Vineyard - make sure to save this list for reference when you’re on Island.
Flavors MV. Located on Circuit Avenue in Oak Bluffs, this restaurant and bar provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner for those craving some American cuisine with a southern twist. After dark, the restaurant transforms into a spacious lounge, with live entertainment and DJ sets starting after 10pm. Flavors MV has been open since May 21st, and we highly recommend their jerk chicken or their chicken and waffles.There’s a really fun energy about this place, and it’s definitely worth checking out this summer! 11 Circuit Avenue, Oak Bluffs
Tigerhawk Sandwich Co. Located just across the street, in the previous home of Dilly's Taqueria on Circuit Ave, this chef-driven sandwich shop is up and running for the summer season! It just opened on May 27th, featuring sandwiches made by Chef Jimmy Alvarado and Chef Nathaniel Wade. Consider stopping by for a delicious breakfast sandwich such as “The Rise and Shine” or the “Extra Fancy!”. Mo’s Lunch. Austin and Maura have been bringing international cuisine to the Island on Tuesdays and Wednesdays every week at the PA Club, and the reviews couldn’t be more positive! Luckily, they recently just opened their new endeavor, Mo’s Lunch, which includes yummy sandwiches and delicious baked goods! Mo’s Lunch is available at the PA club from 11am - 8pm on weekends. If you’re here during the week, make sure to also check out their themed dinners, which are inspired by a different spot on the globe each week. Katama Kitchen. Coming from the owners of Dos Mas and Tacos MV, the Katama Kitchen is taking over the old Right Fork Diner at the Katama Airfield. Set to open later this season, the Katama Kitchen will be a family-friendly restaurant offering creative and classic breakfast and lunch. They will be open for dine-in, takeout, and grab and go beach fare from 7am to 3pm daily. At the Katama Airfield, Edgatown
Right Fork. Don’t worry! While Right Fork may have moved from the Katama Airfield, they are still serving delicious food in downtown Edgartown! The new location comes with a new concept, with many grab-and-go options and made-to-order sandwiches and salads. They offer a selection of items for charcuterie and they have a great selection of sushi as well. 19 Prime Steakhouse. From the owners of 19 Raw, a new steakhouse is coming to the Island. Located in Edgartown and officially open as of May 28th, 19 Prime Steakhouse serves as the only true steakhouse on Martha’s Vineyard. For the 2021 season, 19 Prime Steakhouse will be combined with 19 Raw Oyster Bar. If you’re craving surf and turf, this is the place for you! 19 Church St, Edgartown
Fish MV. New seafood is coming to Vineyard Haven this summer! The owners of Waterside and La Soffita are opening a casual seafood eatery right next door. Fish MV is located on Main Street and will be posting updates regarding their opening on their website. Little House Bakery. Coming to the Island later this season, Little House Bakery will be opening with a new location and serving fresh baked goods such as bagels, muffins, cookies, pie, cake, and more. In the meantime, check out their Instagram for opening updates, and check out their sister company, Little House Cafe, which has a variety of delicious made-to-order food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Behind the Bookstore. Have you heard that Behind the Bookstore got a new chef? He is Puerto Rican and brings the magic of the Caribbean to this New England island! With its new updated menu with some very fun new items, it’s definitely worth stopping by if you find yourself in Edgartown. Atria. We’re excited to be able to stop by Atria earlier than we ever have - this time around, they’re serving up grab & go breakfast options, with carefully crafted baked goods by talented baker Georgia of Instagram fame, @peachcoloredglasses. There will be counter service and you’ll be able to enjoy their patio and lawn as you get your day started in Edgartown. This new offering starts June 24th.137 Main Street, Edgartown

Fantzye Bagels. If you haven’t had Fantzye Bagels yet, you have to try! Made on the Island, these delicious sourdough bagels and fun-flavored schmears are available for pick-up on Sundays from 9:30am - 11:30am at State Road Restaurant. You can pre-order their bagel kits, which includes a half dozen bagels, schmear, smoked fish salad, and pickles. You can even get your morning coffee and pastries at State Road while you’re there, and you can enjoy their outdoor seating. Low-cost, easy, and delicious Sunday brunch! On Thursdays starting later this season, Fantzye Bagels will also be available for pick-up at Kitchen Porch.
Also hosted at State Road, on Monday nights Fantzye Suppers offer a small a la carte menu of locally sourced dishes and an all-natural wine list. Book a reservation and grab a seat outdoors by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gayhead Coffee. Coming soon to local grocery stores, Gayhead Coffee offers locally roasted whole coffee beans by engineering high quality, affordable, and sustainable coffee roasted to perfection. The founders strongly believe in the importance of communication and long conversations, especially over a cup of coffee. We are so excited to try the rich and bold flavors of Gayhead Coffee’s quality roasted coffee beans. Vineyard Confections. If you’re in the mood for some sweets, Vineyard Confections should definitely be on your radar. These candies are currently carried at Martha’s Vineyard Made in Vineyard Haven and available to order for local pickup. Made in small batches, these candies are very special and made with care. They offer a variety, including hard candies, lollies, caramels, and brittle. The Island lollies come in new flavors every month, and this month’s lemonade and watermelon mint lollies are perfect for the season! The candies make great gifts and souvenirs, and they are also available for custom orders for events and parties
Nyamnz MV. Chef Lacey offers several in-home experiences such as personal chef experiences, cooking classes, and meal prep. Cooking classes are available for a maximum of 8 people, and personal chef experiences are available for groups of up to 25. You can request a quote on their website.
Epicure. Epicure is a farm to sandwich food business on Martha’s Vineyard, led by Naji Boustany. The Levantine-centric menu features fresh bread baked on a saj, a convex steel griddle. Sandwiches are the core of the offerings in this food trailer-based venture, which launches Summer 2021. Try grilled Mediterranean chicken taouk with pickles and toum, spiced kafta, roasted cauliflower, and simply delicious savory zaatar, Naji’s herb and spice blend that includes sesame seeds and Lebanese thyme. Chappy Chips. The best sweets are those that are made locally, with only the freshest ingredients. That is the case with Chappy Chips, which are homemade chocolate chip cookies delivered to your door! Feast & Fettle. We are very excited to have Feast & Fettle coming to the Island this summer! Feast & Fettle is a service that delivers home-cooked meals that you don’t have to cook yourself! Every Thursday from June to August, Feast & Fettle will be delivering to Island residents. Each week, members can go online and choose which entrees and sides they would like to receive in their next delivery. The theme of their menu changes every week, and all items are made fresh the day before delivery, then delivered by their in-house team of drivers. Even better, $1 of every MV order goes towards the Island Food Pantry!
Tiny Shell. Tiny Shell Events has recently opened a wine store in Cambridge called Momma’s Grocery + Wine that delivers snacks, wine, and beer to Martha’s Vineyard! They also offer natural guided wine tastings all summer long where they bring the wine, glassware, and knowledge to you! Available for events big and small, you can find more info on booking here.
Special Charcuterie MV. Throwing a party or hosting an event this summer? Special Charcuterie MV has you covered! They offer a gorgeous assortment of charcuterie boards, boxes, and grazing tables, made-to-order! Goldies. Looking for a quick bite? Goldie’s Rotisserie is a food truck that serves homemade fresh hot chicken, crispy rotisserie potatoes, sandwiches, and more! Even better, their ingredients are sourced from local farms. You can find Goldie’s food truck at events and pop-ups across the Island this summer. You can even sign up to have Goldie’s Rotisserie at your next event!
Sip & Seafood MV. Considered “Spirit Guides, and Seafood Storytellers," Sip & Seafood MV offers private tastings in your home or rental property. They currently offer beer and wine tastings with local shellfish, with more options to come later in the season. Their team prioritizes a comfortable and interactive experience that is perfect for some relaxing and tasty summer fun.
MV Cheesery. The idea for Martha’s Vineyard Cheesery was born from an admiration of local artisans and a desire to foster incredible Island memories. Starting on weekends in July, MV Cheesery will be offering pre-made grazing boxes of cheeses and charcuterie in three sizes – small for two to four people, medium for four to six people, and large for six to ten people. Each grazing box will always include an Island product, such as local cheese or honey. The grazing boxes will be available to pick-up at The Larder. The Bubbly Brit. Looking to mix things up at your next event? The Bubbly Brit is a converted Citröen HY Van serving up bubbles for all events, including (but not limited to) weddings, birthdays, corporate functions. This mobile bubbles and cocktail bar looks vintage and unique, and is sure to bring a splash of fun to your next event! Sugar and Stone Chocolate. Sweet things are happening at Sugar and Stone Chocolate, which will be available for purchase later this season! Offering sugar cookies, bonbons, macarons, and more, their sweets are almost too pretty to eat, but we can’t wait to get our hands on them! Wholesome MV. Learn about the local cuisine of Martha’s Vineyard by signing up for an interactive cooking experience with Wholesome MV. Casey, a farmer and home chef, has investigated the local food system of Martha's Vineyard extensively and will work with you to curate the perfect menu to accommodate preferences, allergies, and dietary restrictions while highlighting local flavors. Cofounders Jason and Casey will make the meal for you, all while teaching you how to make it yourself and telling stories about the ingredients. MV Speakeasy. This traveling private bartending service is perfect for your summer events! Bartender Brett Nevin offers custom cocktails for the adults, and mocktails for the little ones!
