Featherstone Holiday Gift Show Featherstone Center for the Arts is the Island’s year-round art center which provides gallery exhibits, classes and inspiration throughout all seasons. Featherstone’s Holiday Gift Show is in full effect this year, with safety restrictions in place. Shoppers can make online reservations for a 30 minute time slot for up to 6 visitors at once. The show offers handmade creations including paintings, photography, pottery, crafts, jewelry, knitwear, clothing, purses, accessories, soaps, dog goods, ornaments, cards, calendars and stocking stuffers. Buy local and support local artists all while supporting Featherstone Center for the Arts as well! Christmas in Edgartown On Martha’s Vineyard December 10-13? You’ll want to be sure to head to downtown Edgartown for the 39th annual Christmas in Edgartown event, which will be magically modified this year. From shopping specials to carriage rides and more, there will be holiday merriment for the entire family. Heather Gardens Island Made Pop Up Shop: Heather Gardens at 377 State Road in West Tisbury is hosting over a dozen artisans and makers where you can find offerings from Martha’s Vineyard Sea Salt, woodworker Chris Macleod, SRS-Grunden Pottery, textiles by Suzy Zell, Linda Alley’s homemade jams and many more. Open daily through Christmas Eve from 10 am to 5 pm. Pop Ups in Menemsha There are a few can’t-miss shopping spots in our beloved fishing village of Menemsha this season. Salt MV is popping up at Pandora’s Box Wednesdays and Friday through Sunday, 10 am to sunset and the Island’s newest chocolatiers, the Salt Rock Chocolate Co., will pop up at the Menemsha Deli on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 12 to 4 pm through December 19. The permanent Ruel Gallery is a must-stop, showcasing gorgeous art from Colin Ruel and jewelry from Netty Kent; plus the sought after M.V. secession flags. Pop Up at The Workshop Gallery The Workshop on Beach Road in Vineyard Haven offers a well curated collection of local artist goods including handmade gifts, jewelry, plants and more. Open Thursday through Saturday 10 am-5 pm through Christmas Eve. Martha’s Vineyard Made This new venture brings together Island-based makers and creators online, as well as the new physical showroom in Vineyard Haven. The shop is open weekends Friday 12 noon-5 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10 am-5 pm. The showroom will also be open the week before Christmas from 10 am-5 pm, including a build-your-own gift box experience on December 19 and 20. Martha’s Vineyard Made encourages shoppers to purchase items online, and offers delivery and pick up, as well as shopping by appointment. Teddies Around Town
For years the beloved Teddy Bear Suite delighted visitors at the Harbor View Hotel, a delightful fundraiser courtesy of the MV Boys and Girls Club. While the Suite couldn’t return in the same way this year, the Teddies can still be enjoyed via a scavenger hunt throughout the storefront windows of downtown Edgartown.
