The Island of Martha's Vineyard is served by several elementary schools, one high school and one charter school.

Martha's Vineyard Regional High School is the only public secondary school on the Island, with the exception of a local charter school that serves K-12 graders.  Regional High School students are involved in a wide variety of academic and enrichment classes, as well as advanced placement, vocational, and special education programs.  The Regional High School boasts a budget with one of the highest per student expenditures in Massachusetts.
MCAS scores for 2011 show MVRHS ranking above average. Every year, the school sends approximately 60% of its students to four year colleges and 25% to two year colleges and trade schools.
Although there is no physical college located on Martha's Vineyard, there are still a variety of collegiate opportunities available.
