Conservation Use Guidelines

When visiting wildlife areas, please observe the following rules:

  • Avoid disturbing wildlife, removing vegetation, picking wildflowers, or damaging stone walls.

  • Carry out whatever you bring in. Nylon fishnets or plastics and other beach debris are life-threatening to marine birds and mammals who swallow or become entangled in them.

  • Control pets, particularly when walking in the vicinity of ground-nesting birds.

  • Never climb on cliff formations or remove clay deposits. The Aquinnah Cliffs and their fossil record are a registered National Landmark.
