2011 Lighthouse Challenge
Mark Your Calendars! The 4th Annual Martha's Vineyard Lighthouse Challenge takes place June 11th, 2011!
Last year's Martha’s Vineyard Lighthouse Challenge a great success. Participants were treated to five magnificent lighthouses, comfortable accommodations, great restaurants, shops, and attractions. We look forward to your return as we welcome the arrival of new lighthouse enthusiasts from all over the world.
While the challenge takes place on Saturday June 11th, take this opportunity to make it a weekend adventure on Martha's Vineyard.
This year the lighthouses will be open from 10am-4pm. An exciting part of your day will be the challenge to visit the Cape Poge Lighthouse. You will need to take a boat ride from Edgartown aboard the Chappaquiddick Ferry. (no reservations required). But you will need to make advance reservations (separate admission) for the overland adventure to reach Cape Poge conducted by the Trustees
of Reservations. No visit to the island is complete without a visit to the nationally respected Martha's Vineyard Museum.
Tickets are $15 for a single, $25 for a family, and include admission to the four lighthouses and the Martha's Vineyard Museum, souvenir wrist band and bag of treats. Tickets may be purchased at any of the four lighthouses. There is a separate admission for the Cape Poge Lighthouse which must be purchased in advance from the Trustees of Reservations
